At Solidshell Enclosures, we take a determined stance on responsible mineral sourcing in our supply chain. We implement comprehensive policies to ensure that conflict minerals (3TG: Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Gold) are responsibly sourced.
What Are Conflict Minerals?
Conflict minerals are minerals known as tin (Sn), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), and gold (Au), collectively referred to as 3TG. These minerals can be used to finance armed conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries.
Our Policy
We commit to ensuring that all materials used in our products are sourced from suppliers that do not directly or indirectly finance armed groups in conflict zones.
- We require transparency from our suppliers regarding conflict minerals
- We follow Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) standards
- We monitor our supply chain using the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT)
- We act in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance
Supplier Expectations
We expect our suppliers to comply with the following:
- Identify and report the origin of 3TG minerals
- Prefer conflict-free supply sources
- Complete the CMRT form when requested
- Apply the same standards in their own supply chains
Continuous Improvement
We regularly review our conflict minerals policy, follow international developments, and continuously improve our practices. Please contact us for any questions on this matter.
