UL94 HB rated ABS material, suitable for operation between -20 °C and +60 °C. Clear covers are made from impact-resistant PC material. Yes. Clear lids are made from impact-resistant PC, and the gasket line and screw pattern are identical to the opaque lid. The difference is in the material and light transmission, not in the sealing arrangement.
The body stays sealed up to the hole you cut; what maintains protection is the component fitted into it. With an IP67-rated gland or a gasketed fitting mounted in a correctly sized hole the rating is preserved. We can machine the holes to size with our CNC service.
The gasket is a permanently elastic TPE and needs no replacement in normal use. The lid screw holes sit outside the gasket line, so the screws are not part of the seal; the gasket seat is not disturbed however often the lid is opened and closed.
Lids are fixed with M4 brass inserts and stainless steel screws, the number varying with enclosure size. Because the thread runs in brass rather than in plastic, the lid can be removed and refitted many times without wearing the thread.
The body and opaque lid are UL94 HB rated ABS, operating between -20 °C and +60 °C. UL94 V-0 versions are produced on request for applications that need a flame retardant.
M3 brass inserts are moulded into the base; a board, mounting plate or foot screws straight into them. Some models also have card rails, letting a board slide into its slot without screws.
The stock colour is a light grey close to RAL 7035. Custom colours can be produced for high-volume orders; for smaller quantities UV printing and laser marking are the usual route for surface marking.
